QC & Microbiology Laboratories
QC and microbiology laboratories are engineered around the integrity of test results. Sterility testing needs its own controlled environment, microbiology is separated from chemistry and from production air systems, and sample, media, personnel, and waste flows are kept from crossing. Ventilation, pressure regimes, utilities, and storage are defined for each laboratory function.

Engineering focus
- 01
Separation of microbiology, sterility testing, and chemical analysis zones
- 02
Dedicated HVAC so that laboratory air is not shared with production areas
- 03
A classified sterility-testing environment with a BSC or isolator and its own gowning route
- 04
Sample, media, personnel, and waste flows, including decontamination before disposal
- 05
Laboratory water, gases, washing areas, and controlled storage for media and reagents
