PW and WFI Process Flow Study
A concept study of the process flow for a system producing Purified Water and Water for Injection: pretreatment, RO and polishing, WFI generation, storage, distribution loops and clean steam, with the instrumentation and sampling points shown from the start.
This is an engineering study on a generic scenario. It shows how ALVEDA SOLUTIONS reasons through the engineering question; it is not an executed project, and it names no client, location, date, size or measured result.

Design questions
- 01
Which use points need which grade, and does the scenario actually need WFI?
- 02
Which WFI technology, loop temperature and sanitization method follow from the regulatory basis, feed water and microbial-control philosophy?
- 03
Where must online instruments, sample valves and drain points sit so that monitoring and qualification are practical?
Study method
- Step 01
Build a use-point schedule with grade, flow, temperature and usage pattern for each point.
- Step 02
Lay out the treatment train from a feed water analysis, with the purpose of each step stated.
- Step 03
Compare WFI options against a documented basis and risk assessment rather than a default choice.
- Step 04
Draw storage, loops, instruments and sample points on one process flow diagram that later P&IDs and the qualification plan can trace to.
What the study establishes
The study shows how a water system concept can be reasoned from use points to a traceable process flow diagram. It does not represent a supplied or installed system.
Stated as study intent. An engineering study on a generic scenario reports no measured result.
